Emma Cross, Apprenticeship and Career Engagement Manager, said: “Apprenticeships bridge the gap between education and the workforce, offering practical experience and essential skills. At CityCare, we’re proud to support apprenticeships, as they nurture talent, boost confidence, and drive innovation, benefiting individuals, our organisation, and the wider community.”
Kerri Jones, a Physiotherapy Apprentice at CityCare, shared her experience: “My apprenticeship journey so far has been both challenging and eye-opening. It has pushed me to explore various areas within physiotherapy that I hadn't considered before. The experience has compelled me to reassess how I approach my work within a professional setting and to apply the knowledge I've gained.”
As Nottingham’s largest provider of community healthcare, CityCare has built a strong apprenticeship programme through partnerships with leading education providers, including Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham College, University of Derby, West Nottinghamshire College, University of Coventry, and Manchester Metropolitan University. These collaborations ensure the highest standard of educational provision for apprentices.
To further support colleagues undertaking clinical apprenticeships, CityCare has launched a dedicated staff network. This initiative provides a safe space to share experiences, exchange updates, and learn from others along their apprenticeship journeys. Apprenticeships are year-round.
