Our Procurement Assistant, Kirandeep Kaur (Kiran), who is on a student placement with CityCare, has recently worked hard to secure 100% renewable electricity contracts at two CityCare-owned sites, the Exchange based in Hyson Green and Aspect House in Bulwell.
This involved liaising with a number of electricity providers, cost-crossing and benchmarking while communicating with them about their renewable energy options. This is not only a great personal success for Kiran, who will soon be leaving us to continue her studies at DeMontford University, but a great step for CityCare as part of our sustainability ambitions.
Charlotte Waller, CityCare’s Transactional Procurement Manager said:
“Kiran has been a great asset to the Procurement Team over the last year and a valued member of the organisation. We are so proud of all of her achievements and securing renewable energy is a great positive to end the year on. Sustainability is incredibly important to CityCare so to see such big steps to a more environmentally friendly way of working is fantastic. Well done Kiran!”
