Lou Bainbridge, Chief Executive of Nottingham CityCare Partnership, the city’s largest provider of NHS community care services has announced she is to retire.

She plans to leave CityCare later this year, once a new chief executive is appointed.

In a message to colleagues at CityCare, she said serving as chief executive for the past three years, and as Director of Finance and Governance before that, had been a privilege and she thanked them for their support, kindness and continuing commitment.

She said: “I am so proud of the dedication and passion CityCare teams show every day in helping to deliver care to our communities. Since the Covid-19 pandemic we have worked together to deliver our strategy, putting in place the foundations for CityCare to thrive and to continue to be the organisation we are all so proud of.

“I will remain forever grateful for the way they have helped CityCare develop during my time. “We are a valued partner within the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, recognised by our communities and our partners for delivering compassionate, effective and efficient care.”

Nottingham CityCare is the city’s largest provider of NHS community health services.

It employs more than 1,300 staff dedicated to making a difference every day to the health and wellbeing of our communities. We have a budget of £70m and come into face-to-face contact with more than 38,000 patients every month.

As a social enterprise business operated to benefit society, we reinvest our profits back into the organisation, services, or the local community.
